Mr. Henderson

Mr. Henderson was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate Elementary Education degree from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. He received masters degrees in both School Administration and Elementary Education from UNCC. After teaching and serving as headmaster at a mission school in Malawi, Africa for a year, Mr. Henderson trained adults with intellectual disabilities to work in their community in Pittsburgh, PA. He taught middle and elementary school for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools before serving as a school administrator at Sardis Elementary and Porter Ridge Elementary in Union County. This is his fifteenth year as a professional educator. His hobbies include mountain biking, camping, backpacking, travel, and reading. His wife and he reside in Union County .

 


 

Mrs. Adams

Ms. Adams has been in education for the past fifteen years, as a teacher in the fifth grade prior to becoming an assistant principal.  Her college experience includes UNC-Charlotte, as well as Winthrop University.  She taught in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System for eight years, prior to coming to UCPS.  For the next three years she was at Benton Heights Elementary.  Ms. Adams is a National Board Certified teacher and has also been selected as a Teacher of the Year.  Ms. Adams loves being a part of the Shiloh Community.  Her main goal here at Shiloh is to continue to be a support for the staff, students, and community members as we all work together to provide outstanding, quality education that all students here receive!  Ms. Adams enjoys spending her time with her family and pets.  Her interests include reading, art, exercise, spending time outdoors, and listening to music. .
